Sandhill cranes can be found all across North America and parts of northern Siberia. I see them every summer hanging out in the flats around the Kenai River or flying overhead as they migrate, but rarely up close. As I was dragging my feet to finish the pattern for this design I pulled out of my driveway one morning to find two cranes walking in the street in front of my house. At first I didn’t know what they were, viewing these 4 foot tall giants in my rearview mirror, then realized they were a crane couple on a stroll. I got the message and finished the pattern that week.
Sandhill Cranes uses my Summer Zen Signature Batik Collection with Hoffman California Fabrics. The Laser Kit includes a pattern, all laser cut appliques backed with Lite Steam-a-Seam 2, background, borders and binding. Batting and backing not included
