My husband and I took our kids to Homer a few years ago and went beachcombing. We often spot a starfish here or there, but on that particular trip we found dozens of them along the shoreline. My daughter loved it and collected a bunch to 'set free' back into the water. The starfish we find there are the standard 5-legged sort and are usually purple to pink in color. This design is a combination of our Homer excursion and my experiences beachcombing on the west coast of Oregon or the sandy beaches of Hawaii.
Along the Shores: Starfish uses my Along the Shores Signature Batik line with Hoffman California Fabrics. The kit includes a pattern, all pre-cut applique shapes backed with Lite Steam-a-Seam 2, background, borders and binding. Batting and backing not included.
